WHHNFS provides resident engineer and inspection services for construction of the University Link Light Rail project in Seattle, Washington. University Link is a 3.15 mile extension of the existing light rail line that will run in twin bored tunnels from downtown Seattle to the University of Washington, with stations at Capitol Hill and Husky Stadium on the University of Washington campus.

WHHNFS is providing safety certification support for the entire U-Link Program, as well as resident engineering and structural / civil inspection services for the University of Washington Station (U215, U250) GC/CM procurement, the $143 million terminus station for the U-Link extension. WHHNFS also provided erosion and sediment control inspections of project sites throughout the program area, inspection support for the construction excavation and shoring for the Capitol Hill Station headwall and launch pit (U230), and inspection support for the slurry wall construction for the University of Washington Station Tunnel Boring Machine launch structure (U220).
