JENKINS CREEK PARK PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENTS

This contract included the construction of 1,500 LF of paved trail improvements within Jenkins Creek Park in the City of Covington. The trail was constructed between the west end of the park at SE 267th Place and the east end of the park. The work included furnishing and installing two prefabricated bridges to span the pond outlet within the Park and to span Jenkins Creek. It included clearing and grubbing, grading, removal of existing timber bridge structures and concrete foundations, subgrade construction, trail paving, concrete retaining walls, fencing, retrofitting existing concrete piers to support the Jenkins Creek bridge, construction of new concrete bridge foundations for the pond bridge and buffer mitigation planting work. Also included was the construction of 400 LF of 36-inch-diameter storm pipe, catch basins, trench excavation and backfill, storm bypass and abandonment of an existing storm pipe.
