ARMY CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER

Client: U.S. Army

Location: Joint Base Lewis-McChord

Contract Value: $1.8 Million

Completed: October 2009

This project involved design and construction of all site development improvements outside the building five-foot line for a new 24,000 square foot child development center at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.

Work consisted of clearing the heavily-wooded 7 acre site, mass excavation and grading, structural retaining walls, storm water detention pond and control structures, site utilities (power, communications, water, fire protection waterline, and sewer), asphalt concrete roads and parking lots, concrete curb/gutter/sidewalks, site lighting, and site landscaping.

WHHNFS provided the program management, including coordination of the design and construction team throughout the design phase and construction, in addition to self-performing construction efforts.

Completed site development with the CDC building still under construction.
